first time using flame box elder

have a bunch of flame box elder sitting in my workbench wating for me to turn some but just hadn't had the itch to turn any.
a fellow worker asked me to make him a pen that was natural wood and very unique. he didn't want a burl. he liked the idea of the flame box elder. so i finally turned this slim line pen out of flame box elder.

He fell in love with this pen.
i am still trying to figure out this picture taking stuff. so picture isn't the best.[8]
