First time segmenting

I cut up a scrap piece of cocobolo and glued it on a padauk blank..
pictures are fail, but tell me what you guys think
should i use it as the nib part or the clip part?
i also drilled the cocobolo differently.
just a little experimenting :redface:

It is a pretty color. That is all I can see.

I can tell it is a photograph... I think..
