I received a soapstone blank from Whaler and couldn't wait to try it. Rather dusty to turn. I really like the look. Definitely going to do more of these.

It drills quite easily, the toughest part is not dropping the blank after you get some of the dust on your hands.
I turned it with a large shallow gouge, sanded, MM, 6 coats of med CA to make the pen a little more scratch resistant, MM, Turtle wax polishing compound, and Ren wax.
