I made my first pen sales last week. I have made a ton of pens for gifts and personal use, but haven't tried to sell any. I sold a slimline (splated hackberry) and a sierra last week. Total of $60 returned against about a grand spent on supplies and equipment. Still, rewarding to see that someone would actually pay money for something I made.

Way to go. I got into this because I wanted something to do to burn off energy, since it's hard for me to just sit and watch TV. I started off by making one for each of my co-workers (a good way to build skills), and all of a sudden I had people coming up and asking to actually BUY things I was making.

It's a nice feeling, that somebody values something that you created. And now you can tell SHMBO whats in my tagline.

Hey, great to have a first sale. Now you canbuy some more kits.
I did the same thing, lots of give aways after buying equipement and kits. I have now sold 30+ pens just by reference from other clients. My company also has me do pens for our clients as a promotional item.
Keep up the good work. Seel some pens.
