I like how you have accurately kept the pen axis parallel to the veneer layers (which are all precisely aligned).
And the pen axis is very well centered on the veneer stack, resulting in a symmetrical layer pattern in the finished pen, the shape of which really emphasizes the symmetry.
How many veneer layers did you glue together ? (my estimate is 19 remaining layers, as shown after turning ... but I could be wrong)
