First Gent/ BOW & Purpleheart Cigar

Whooo! The BOW from Jim at Woodpens came Sat., and the Gent kits at the same time! This BOW is absolutely beautiful.


My first Gent. I choose the least figured of the BOW, since I figured I would screw the first one up.

BOW and Purpleheart cigar.



Both are sealed with shellac, then 3 coats of HUT Krystal

, and of course, TSW.

Nice work. I like that Purpleheart with the sap wood included, nice contrast in colors.

Great job Ken. You are right about the first one, It is so messed up I think you need to send it to me to get rid of []. BOW is fun to work with and even the least figured looks good. Your fit and finish are right on the money.

Both pens are great! I too like the purpleheart/bow combination. I liked the groove down at the bottom also.
