First Corn Cob Pen

Finally made my first corn cob pen from a stablized cob I got off ebay. I was able to color it yellow.

Hey Joe ... nicely done. I've made a few using nonstabilized cobs and dye them different colors. How hard was it to dye the stabilized?

The dye went on easy. I had heard that stablized cobs didnt take dyw well. I forget the brand that I use but I used a paper towel and added a liberal amount and when it dried I applied my ca finish.
