I chose this kit for my step-mother, not because she's Celtic, but because I like the visual interest of the details, especially the glass cabochon. I must say I'm very happy with the pen and the blank. The finish is antique pewter, and the blank is green swirl, both from Rockler. I also like the size and weight, I like fat heavy pens. I think she'll really like it.

Nice match between cabochon and barrel !! . So this is a PSI pen, eh? . Never tried their Celtic pen kit yet.

I rather like what you have done with it ... thanks for showing !!

Thank you for the compliments! Yeah, it's one of PSI's nicer kits, in my opinion.

I also painted the tube and colored the epoxy, even though the body on this pen is fairly thick, even at the ends. I hate it when the tube shows through the blank. This particular acrylic is fairly translucent.
