First it was burls, then a HOT meal with crispy, hot, salted Fries from Wendy's, then a tree of curly maple.

This is just a "scrap" from between the bowl blanks.

We will be milling the tree for about 350 bft, and when we cut the pith out for the bowl blanks, we will be milling them for pen blanks. What would everyone prefer for the blanks:
Rip cut - curl go across the blank ripped with the grain
Bias cut - curl runs down the blank grain is at an angle
X-cut - curl is diagonal and cut perpendicular to the grain

Would you prefer the blanks dry or green.
Also if you want uncut blanks (6 blanks = 2X2) that is possible.

Contact Daveturns05 or myself if you are interested.

Lucky DOG!!! (no pun intended)

Wow you really hit the jackpot! Congrats!

For quilted/tiger figure...there is no other choice but go the regular (rip) cut IMHO.
