First attempt at turning Antler

I received some antler from a member here and I am sorry but I can't remember who it was. Anyway, I turned this pen last night with it.

Thanks again to the guy that sent the antler along last year.

It wasn't that bad to work with other than the smell of it while turning. Even with a dust mask on it was pretty poignant. I am looking forward to making some more of them. The finish is a high speed polish.

I had to catch myself today I was thinking about selling my flat work tools to buy more kits and supplies. :tongue:

I love working with antler. And like Paul, I don't ever care about the smell anymore. Every pen you make from it is unique and they always catch peoples attention. Keep up the good work
