Finishing Ebonite?

I just turned a couple of ebonite blanks, but haven't sanded/finished them yet. What do you do? Dry sand? Wet Sand? MicroMesh?

How about finishes?

Forget wet sanding. Also forget micro mesh as that's outside the scope of this material. Many will tell you to buff but that's to wasteful.

Hi Gary,

I wet sand with either Micro-mesh or wet/dry sandpaper.
Just take special care to not build up too much heat. From my experience, Ebonite and heat are a bad combination.
I have never applied any finish other than buffing and polishing.
