Finish for Worthless Wood?

I am turning my first worthless wood blank. The blank is about 60% resing and 40% wood.
I finish plastics and wood differently. Usually use a plastic polish for the acrylics and either Turners Magic or CA/blo for the wood.
Any suggestions on a finish method for the combination blank?

CA/BLO is what I use for all my worthless wood blanks. Or just CA, since there really isn't a need for the boiled linseed oil.

CA is what I use. You could also use lacquer if you don't like CA.

I use just plastic polish on acrylic/corian, and CA finish then plastic polish on that, as it is plastic as well. Try it out, you will see a difference
