Well after drooling over a lot of great pens on here, I finally took the plunge and did my first closed end pen.
I used one of Dawn's Ancient Mars blanks from Exotics as I wanted it to be something stunning, then I used a Jr gent II rollerball kit.
I have bought pin chucks,BUT they have been sent to Santa, so I can't use them yet. So I used a rawbolt held in a drill chuck( this was used with a custom made delrin bushing)But the bolt must have bent slightly as it did get a wobble on part way through turning and is consequently slightly out of round(so lessons were learned).
Made it too long at first and then had the great idea to turn the excess length into a matching finial(Another first for me:biggrin
