After many months of trying to secure a home in Florida, we finally made it. Now in North Port I am loving it. 18 days without internet was painful but, we finally got service today thru WildBlue Satalite service. That's all there will ever be out here in the boonies, except for dial-up. And, that's just too slow for me.

Still unpacking and, I can already see I'm going to need a shed for my shop. Two car garage is NOT big enough. Sure is good to be back

Hi Chuck, welcome back, hope you like the new scenery! missed ya.
Thanks John! Thought about you as we rolled thru Columbus. Sorry we didn't get to have that visit. You'll just have to come down and spend some time this winter. I'll be in touch.

It would be great to chat with you again sometime.

IAP BBQ party in Florida.....has a nice ring to it. I'll bring the sake..

Congratulations on the move, Chuck. Looks like a great place.

I'll be in that, I'll bring the Fosters, some Bundy (Bundaberg Rum) wouldn't go astray either.

Good to see you back on-line mate, got a bit worried that you may have got lost, great to see you finally there. Nice looking place you have there, all that's missing is a decent shed:tongue:.

Good to hear from you Chuck. Wish you'd of been able to stop by on your way down. Guess I'll have to mail ya the stuff I was gonna give ya. Super secret Blanks:wink:. And speed week is 2nd week in February. Gonna try and make it down to see Alex and John race this year in the 24 hour race. Might have to swing by if I make the trip.

Thanks Ernie! Yeh, it was disappointing to pass thru L'ville at 12:30 AM. But, I didn't want to wake you up. If you get down this way, please do let me know. Thanks for your generousity.

12:30am??? Don't you know how to drive to Florida from Indiana? Leave Indy at 4:30pm. Forget the Atlanta bypass, go straight through town at 1:30am to 2:30am. Saves a boat load of time. Sun rises as you enter Florida. Our best trip time wise was leaving Indy at 4:30pm on Thursday and at 5pm Friday having dinner at the Boondocks. mm28 US1 Ramrod Key.

:beat-up:NOW you tell me this ! We got the truck loaded by 7:00, buttoned up the house and, Susanne said "Let's go" 8:00 PM There was really no need to hurry. That Penske truck would only pull 30mph in the Smokies. Had to drive on the shoulder, ALOT:eek: But, we were pulling Susannes car on a trailer. Thanks for the tips!

Chuck, Congratulations on making it to the promised land, sure do wish I were there, have fun and do well in your new digs. Good to see you still around.

Chuck,
Congrats on the move... we'll see you up this way in a few months...

We have a whole community of Floridians around these parts we call "half backs"... they are all from up north that moved to Florida and after a short while move "half way back" and settled in east Tennessee...:devil::biggrin:

Seriously, congratulations... wish you well and lots of happiness in your new home.

Thanks for your TOUCHING comments:rolleyes::biggrin: Chuck. The difference between those other "Halfbacks" and me is, I'm now broke and can't leave here.:redface: I think we'll be fine. I spent my first 365 days in the service in Key West and, loved it. Thanks for the wishes, it's appreciated.:island: BTW, I hope you have a pleasant winter:biggrin:

Hey Chuck see you finally made it! I'm sure your going to enjoy it there. Sorry we could not get together again before you left. I'm sure we will keep in touch here!

Good to see your comment Ron. Yes, we are enjoying it here. Sad to leave good friends and family but, it's nice and warm here. Will keep in touch.

Ok, Ok great. You're in sunny warm Florida for the Winter and longer and we're not. So the bottom line is.....how soon will you be ready for guests, long term guests? Glad you're there and safe. Stay in touch bro.

Bill, I checked with Susanne and, I guess the look on her face answered the question about long term  Do bring a toothbrush and, some clean undies  I'll see you friends when we come back to visit. Maybe have a special, special meeting. See...they're ALL special to ME. Thanks!
