Figured Cocobolo pencil

My shop pencil out of Amboyna burl was a mess. Broken clip, chipped finish and the sections had a minor alignment problem. I looked at it and decided enough was enough. Built something more respectable to be out in sight. 7 coats mediumCa. Micromesh to 6000.

Alton, What kit is that or did you modify it? Looks like an eraser poking out the back end.

The metal cap is missing in the photo. Pull on the end of a pencil and the cap covers a replacable eraser.

That is a great looking pen. Your usual terrific finish really brings out the figure in the wood.
