Anyone have any info or opinion on the Fein shop vacs? It seems that there's a turbo I, II and II, with size variations and some difference in hp, between 1.1 for the I to 1.5 for the III. Anyone have any experience with these and if the larger III is worth the extra cost?

We use them on our saws at Woodcraft and I really like them. I did not see any problems with them from the ones that we sold so I would think that they are reliable. I have been looking at the III myself. You may want to find out who does the service on them just in case you would ever need it. Just my 2cents worth.[8D]

I have the Fein III and when I vacuum the bench I have to make sure my skews and gouges don't get sucked into it! It's a fine machine.

Hi,

I and II have 1 1/4 inche hose, wich restrict the air flow a bit and you will need adaptor for almost every accessories. The model III is the one i have. 2 1/4 inlet, lot of power and ultra ultra ultra quiet (less than 60 Db). For me it was worth the investment. And those machine are made for heavy continius use . Couple it with a 2 1/4 duck system with 2 1/2 blast gate and you have a complete shop system that do the job.

I have the I and it is one of my favorite tools! I would agree with Alfred and say that I would either get the I or the III for the larger hose.
