The strongest tornado to touch down Thursday night happened in Ingham County, producing EF2 damage with max wind gusts up to around 125 mph.
The tornado actually traveled east along I-96 for about 1.5 miles of its twelve mile path. According to the storm survey by the NWS, the most significant damage occurred near and along I-96 where hundreds of trees were snapped, homes saw roof, siding and window damage, and several outbuildings were heavily damaged."
