We had a horrible storm go through Thursday night and we are still without power. Every house around us suffered some kind of damage. The trampoline tight next door was lifted up and slammed into the top of a two story home two doors down. Town looks like war zone. Cell service is spotty at best. We were left unscathed, truly a miracle. We have a small generator keeping the refrigerator, freezer and sump pump going. Hoping the power will be restored soon.

No stranger to weather here in Texas, we had to small towns devastated by tornados a few months back, both waiting weeks of each other.

I have not seen any news. Others have heard it was an F2 tornado, I can't confirm that though.

I saw that weather system moving across northern Wi. into Mi. It looked pretty intense. Glad you're house was spared. Hope no one around you was injured.,

Glad you were not affected too much by the storm... weather is getting really unpredictable and erratic.
I was scheduled for a hospital procedure on the 15th and had to be at the hospital at 5 am.... 1 1/2 hours away from my house... about dark a rain storm hit with wind and rain... dumped 5-7 inches of ran downtown Tellico Plains..... I live about 6 miles out towards the direction I needed to go.... my stepson and I left about 3:30, drove for 45 minutes and never got 5 miles from home.... there are 4 routes I could take to the hospital.... each of them had a tree down across the road... not little trees either. After the 4th turn around, I decided to heck with it and when home... reschedule my procedure to 19 Sept.
We didn't lose power, but I sure lost a few hours sleep.
And got in some serious practice with 3 point turn arounds.

Well wishes for your neighbors, and glad that you are in good shape. In my area we have had twice the annual August rainfall - things are a bit different this year, and very different than 8-10 years ago.

Wow, glad you are OK, and I pray that everyone can get back to normal soon. There must have been some heavy infrastructure damage to be that long without power.
There's a huge amount of damage, but I'm happy to report the power came back on at 4:20 AM.
