OK, so a couple of weeks ago I posted in this forum about trouble I was having with my bandsaw and turning the tension knob. I got all excited when I saw the post about the tension release lever that gketell posted about and thought, hey, I need one of those! So I got out my Grizzly manual to see if I could find any info about such a product and also did some googling to see if they made such a thing for my bandsaw...

Well somewhere along the way, I realized that I already had a quick release thingy for the tension knob. I was using it regularly, just was also cranking the tension knob, which did need some lubing. Anyway, I felt kind of like a fool when I realized I was all ready to buy a quick release... for my quick release? Good thing I figured this out just short of calling grizzly and asking them about it, I'm sure they'd have had a ball making fun of the female calling to ask such a question...

You know, as long as the coffee cup holder on our computer doesn't break again, I think we're GOOD!:tongue::coffee:

My moment of dumb-ness was the time I DID call Grizzly and ask how to unscrew a knob from my metal lathe. They checked and replied, "It doesn't unscrew, it just pulls off". Yep; they was right, came right off when I tugged on it.

I think Webster defines manuals as the thing you go digging through the trash for when you can't get the damn machine to work! And I thought that it was a guy thing to throw the manual in a drawer unopened until you need to order a part for something you broke.
