Brian, thanks for posting these. There are a couple I've never heard of but love them. And like you, I have a deep respect for David Marks and his work. I HOPE to one day do anything comparable to him.

I watched Wood Works until they stopped showing it, then I just happened to bump into David at the 2008 AAW national symposium and he actually bought one of my pens from me! I have a testimonial on my site from him. I also made him a special closed end amboyna burl pen b/c I'm a dorky fan like that. He's a SUPER chill guy and I love the gilding/patina work he does. I hope to one day make it out to Cali for one of his classes.

Woodworkerszone.com is a great place. Not a huge forum yet, but some very recognizable names are there and they do regular tutorial projects (currently doing a wood plane building project there). It's a relaxed place that prioritizes mentorship.

There are several folks common between here and there.
