Experiences with Timberbits

I found a company in Australia called Timberbits.
Their prices seem decent on the kits they carry.
Has anyone ordered from them? Is the quality good?
How was your overall experience?

I'm considering placing an order but, thought I would ask you great people, with much more experience, before jumping in.

Very nice kits. Good service. Great prices. I don't know how he can charge so little for shipping. Delivery is usually a few days after ordering. Timberbits is on my short list for supplies.

I will caution you on delivery though, my experience isn't the same as the previous posts. Orders take up to three weeks or more in my experience. I expect others are choosing a different delivery method... ????
Not a problem for me, I don't mind waiting.... Just be aware if it matters to you.

I,ve always had very good service from them, good quality on most kits really good on others and good prices. Only problem i had was on the titanium gold plating on some kits and the 24kt plating on the cheap jr gents it scratches really easy. Other than that highly recommended. As for delivery, David always sends out quick, what happens then is upto the postal service.

I think I will give them a shot. I'm not in a big hurry, I don't need them right away. I'm still working on a new design to try.

I second this --- the shipping method is what you should look at real close! If you are in a hurry.. I think we have a person selling timberbits products on this forum -- see Oklahoman

I placed my first order last week. If response to email is any indication of service (which I think it is) .... Then I am very please. I sent 2-3 questions and had very quick replies. The confirmation of my order was also super fast.

Just waiting for my package now ... Which is not a big deal for me. I planned my work a few weeks out.

Do a quick search and you'll have an overwhelming answer.

Shipping to California is faster than some stateside businesses. David does customer service excellently. No complaints and highly recommended from where I'm standing.

I've done 3 orders from them - 1 via ebay and 2 directly. The ebay one was very small and took a couple weeks to make it through the mail. The other 2 were larger but not huge by any measure. 1 qualified for the upgraded shipping the other didn't. Even though the 2nd didn't qualify for the faster shipping, they still sent it that way. I'll be buying from them again...
