Engraving from Kallenshaan question

I've seen the engraving that is done with names and have a question about that. On a larger pen, can he engrave initials or the name around the top or center band instead of down the side of the pen? I want to give a pen as a gift to a co-worker that has moved on to a better job, but don't want the name going halfway down the pen.

He should be able to do that. I've seen on some pens that he must have a rotary axis.

If it can be done with a laser, He can do it... he has no problem doing engraving rotated around the pen.. he has done that for me a bunch of times..

Hi Mikey,
Wrapping a name around a pen the way you are asking about is not a problem. The only requirement is that you send the pen barrel finished but unassembled. It have to be mounted on a modified mandrel to engrave.

Dang! The pen was already assembled. Guess I'll call and figure out what to do.
