Engraving Color Fill

I had a pen engraved and selected a color of fill that does not really have the contrast needed. The fill was done by the engraver and I'm not familiar with the material used. I now would like to go back over the engraving with black. What material is used for filling engraving?

There are several that have mentioned using acrylic hobby paints by coating them then wiping the excess off.

I had read in a earlier post that you can take any color crayon you would like and rub it in the engraving and then use Lemon pledge to make it harder. I have never tried it but the advice came from a fairly experienced turner.
