Engraving and Diagonally Cut Blanks

I was approached by a local guy asking me to do a number of monogramed blanks using wood from his property. He dropped off a log that I had to re-saw into blanks and dry. I decided to cut the blanks diagonally so that the pens would have more figure.

I engraved some pens for a right handed view and others for a left handed view.

Some sort of cherry, I am thinking wild/black cherry.
