Here are a couple pens with English Walnut from my neighbor tree. Sorry about the photo as I am trying out both camera and light box.

That doesnt look like any walnut Ive seen. It looks more like oak in your pictures.
 
Yes, they ARE English Walnut. I cut the branch off myself. English Walnut is a light colored wood. I hope to have some to share after they dry out. I live 50 yards away from a very large English Walnut orchard. ALL English Walnuts here are grafted onto Black Walnut .
 
Whew, I finally got down to where you said "I cut the limb off myself"...was worried that you had dropped the tree that was owned by a neighbor(although, I would like to drop a tree ON my neighbor-different story though).


Not bad looking for 'limb timber', can only imagine what the crotch of an English Walnut would look like that has been grafted into a BlackWalnut.
