email issue

Ever since I got my new cell phone I've been having problems with hotmail on my house computer. I can respond to emails on my cell phone no problem..other than the tiny buttons and time it takes to type. On my home computer, I log in to hotmail, no problem, and click the inbox and see all my message titles. If I click on a new email though, it does not open. I can check off emails I don't want, like junk ones, but I click delete and nothing happens. I click on the "new email" button and the screen goes to a new email where I can enter the receiver address and a title, but I can't enter a message. I don't understand what's going on.

Clear all the temp files in your browser. Make sure your java is updated and possibly your browser as well.

oh..hey, that actually worked! Cleared all my history and reloaded the email and it works albeit as slow as a snail, but that's the way it always is here. Thanks Larry!

On my BlackBerry I use something called Dragon for email. You speak into the phone and it translates to text. Works surpriseingly well.

If you defragment your disk you might speed things up a lot.

additionally make sure anti-spyware software updated and scan with that.

I do defrag and I am running updated spyware antivirus software all the time. The spyware software has slowed me down even more than I used to be. It's not my computer, it's the dial up connection that is the problem. One of these days I hope to switch to satelite service, I can afford it, but I still don't care for the cost of it so I keep putting it off.
