Outstanding creatures. They have stocked them in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. They have grown so much that they lend a lot to the economy of the Qualla Reservation, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. I'll see if I can find the link to a remote camera in Tennessee. Be aware they don't hang around posing. Check back often.

I have
A little insensitive, but my uncle's brother in law went elk hunting in Idaho or Montana.... elk steaks are delicious.
I've had elk and agree. These elk are safe in our community but if they pass into Tejon ranch they can be hunted. They moved from Tejon to our community intelligently.

It has been raining for two weeks. Soft ground and heavy creatures with small hoofs make for deep tracks. My hillsides are a mess. Still love them.
