Ebonite

I got an ebonite blank earlier this week from another turner. I have never turned ebonite. What is the best way to finish it?

I start wet sanding with 600 (occasionally 400), then 1000 and 1500 and finally buff.

I find it finishes better and easier than most acrylic blanks. Just don't let it get hot!

seems gummy at first. but andrew is right. once you get started well it really finishes nice.
