Ebonite wedge pen - I was always told in art school to cut things up and see what happens.

Thanks Mal the design was inspired by 1930 lipstick tubes which I collect. I set out to cut the pen so I cant remember what the cap looked like - please make your own cut type pen but make it your own design do something different make it you own - the green is ebonite - look forward to seeing your design - Jake

Hi Jake .... I am unclear what you mean by a "cut type pen". . Do you have a minute to explain, please. . Maybe the term refers to cutting the top off the cap, for example, and inserting a contrastingly colored piece like you did with the green ebonite.

Hi Mal yes cutting the top off the cap or barrel

Hi John I've made about 15 pens in ebonite and have not seen any change of colors or darkening yet :-)

Interesting design Jake

Did I miss your thread on your turbine pen? would love to see a few more snaps of that one

Thanks brad - some more pics - not the best I will set up the light tent sometime.
I'm thinking about making a stand to go with this pen.
