So I know that this is a pen turner's forum, but surely I'm not the only one that ever said "I could do a duck call" after making pens. Can anyone point me in good direction for learning more about it? I understand the basics but wondered if you guys had some good resources that might be helpful.

I make duck calls. And the best reading about call making is THO. I'll answer any question that I can for you.

That folks, is what this forum is all about. Someone asks for help & several people step up to the plate to help them out.
That's just one reason I like this place so much, and you should like it a lot too.

I learned (in person) how to make the ones I make from Scott Butler, another member here. I have a video of my process and I did a live show on a friend of mine's Youtube channel of me making my calls. I will put them at the end of this post.

Are you wanting to turn the barrels, then buy the inserts? Or are you looking at making your own inserts as well?

Blanks for the barrels of the calls can be bought from members here. A few of our fine vendors here sell parts for the calls. I buy my inserts from Echo calls. I make some of my blanks, and buy some from a member here, Bob aka BSea.
