Last one. I call this my Western Diamond-Double-Back Rattlesnake Call. The calls takes a fairly large snake so I thought I'd try two pieces of a smaller one. All four pictures are of the same call your just looking at all 4 angles. I used the same skin to make sure I didn't have issues with different shade or something like that. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. 30B59B33-F68F-4E01-A65B-D67CF6AA4254.jpeg4769B6EE-9333-4774-ADF3-16D9BCAC91B7.jpeg4243C9C1-F7E8-4CD5-A9D8-2566D271E0FB.jpeg2EDDBD28-8FFE-45C6-B8D3-821BC7C69DAB.jpeg

Thanks John. I had help along the way. I also appreciate you and ALL the others that post to give us inspiration and ideas to help keep the hobby from getting boring.

Thanks Again for all the compliments. I've been making the small lanyards just to accent the calls. I used the curly tail feathers off a Mallard Drake for a long time. When I made the first snakeskin call I figured I had all the rattles so I might as well use them.

Again, a beautiful call, but again my aversion would kick in... would display it though.

Do you make your own reeds or using a reed kit? I made a number of calls some years back using the HUT catalog reed kits... they seemed to go over well and sold most of them... think I still have one or two around somewhere...

I don't remember much duck hunting going on in Texas... do you have a good market for them? They should be real collector items.
One complaint I had from my customers was they weren't signed... do you sign your?
