This is a pen I worked on during the monthly Exotic Blanks You Tube live demo this past week. I talked about how I took unstabilized very dry buckeye burl and cast it in clear urethane resin. I then showed how I turn dry wood that isn't stabilized to a finished pen. I needed to buff and sand the ends a bit so I assembled it at home the next day. For anyone who seen the demo, this is the finished pen I said I would post here when done. If you missed the live demo and want to see it, here a link to Exotic Blanks' You Tube recording of it. The pen was made using the Diamond Knurl Rollerball Antique Silver from Exotic Blanks. I swapped the finial and center band from a Blue Titanium set to give the pen more accent without having to turn new ones. It was finished with Gluboost. The pictures are a little poor on showing detail and color but you get the idea.
