Not sure how many users currently user drop box but I just tried it and it's great. Installed on 2 PC's, iPhone and iPad. Now I can place a document in there and share it to all devices. Great way to get .pdf's on your mobile devices! You get 2GB for signing up, 250mb more for going thru a list of steps, and then 250mb for each referal up to 8GB total!!!

Anyone wanting to try this out can use my referal link. It is greatly appreciated!!!

I use this a lot. Its compatable woth quickoffice on my ipad and I can access documents I start on my ipad on my laptop for formating. Its so much easyer than trying to email files.

A friend and I use it to share spreadsheets and design files, and for that it is worth the price (oh wait, it's free for the first 2GB!). No need to email files, tell the person you've made a new version, etc., etc.

I have it on three home PCs, and that way when I am on my laptop in front of the TV, I can access files that I normally would archive on our main PC upstairs. I have a home network, but invariably the main PC is in sleep mode, and I got tired of running upstairs to wake it up (although it was good exercise ...). Now I just put all the files I think I'll need to access anywhere out on Dropbox. Yep, you can log in from any PC to Dropbox, to get access.

At some point I might pay to get the 10 or 20GB storage, but for now, 2.5GB is fine (you get extra space for trying some features out, and every friend you recruit is good for more free space).

Sorry, I'm starting to sound like a commercial for the product, but it is that good.

How is this different than icloud, just wondering.

I Googled "icloud vs. dropbox", since I didn't know either. See the link below for the review.

I didn't read all of this, but Dropbox is listed as the winner. The biggest difference now is Sharing. My friend uses Dropbox, and suggested I sign up so we could share files. There is a shared folder he created that is now in my Dropbox folder, and so we can both work on common files in this folder. He is a big Apple user (iPhones, iPads, etc.), but he uses a Windows PC. Since he was sold on Dropbox, I signed up. I've also used Dropbox to shares pictures, by making a "Public" folder, that anyone can view. I just send them a link.

With Dropbox, I can log in from any PC, and maybe iCloud offers that, too, but my initial signup was to share files with my friend, and then I discovered all the other capabilities. The synch'ing is fast, and I get notifications when I log onto another machine, indicating new files are present, or updated files are in my Dropbox (just a folder in My Docs)..

Yeah, I'm really enjoying this so far. I've been taking work documents and turning them into pdf's so I can handle after hours tech calls a lot easier from home. Already looking for digital copies of my IT resources. Thanks to everyone on here so far that's giving it a try from my link I'm up to 3.2 GB of space and would love to get the max available for free (Yep, I'm cheap!) .

For those now interested after all the positive reviews this thread has gotten here's a invitation link for you to try it out. I thank everyone in advance that helps me out and I'm sure you'll enjoy and get as much use out of it as I have already!!
