I see you did not get any responses to your question. Did you finally come up with a solution because this is the exact thing I am asking about right now.

I made this for drilling cross holes, etc. Might give you ideas for something home-made.

Thanks Lee. Disregard the grease zerk...that was my first idea...switched to oil-lite bushings instead. Also started with three flats on the drive end for my big drill, changed to a quick change to fit the "Insty Bit" chuck that is permanent on the cordless drill. Careful measuring/manufacturing will put the bit right on center when the jig is dropped in the base.
