I love my Emperor. I turned it out of Lignum Vitae, a very dense wood. Since I have not turned a second Emperor, and I don't have a scale to compare other pen kits, I have a question.

Assuming a bushing to bushing turning, does the wood actually add that much weight to the pen kit?

Hold a LV blank in one hand, and a piece of oak in the other. Even when turned down to pen thickness, you're still talking about an appreciable difference in weight.
