I have a request from a military commander who would like 6-8 pens and matching
boxes that can be engraved as gifts for other commanders. I've yet to make any boxes
of my own and would like to find something that a military officer would actually display
on their desk rather than be delegated to a box in the back of a closet.
Do any of you have any plans, ideas, or advice for boxes than can be made fairly easily?
I'm thinking primarily English oak with accents of bog oak or walnut.
