Disc and Belt Sander suggestions

Hello...my ol' Craftsman disc and belt sander bearings sound like they've finally are giving up...after 20 years or so.....I've looked at several online to replace it. I've looked at Eastwood's 4x36, 6" disc model, the Ryobi one, and Rockwell.....certainly have seen review of good and bad on all of them. I use this for wood sanding of smaller parts....any suggestions or experiences you can help with? Thanks!! Stay warm!!!

I would highly recommend you look at the Byrnes Disc Sander.Very precise.
This sander is built like a Mercedes Benz. A real pleasure to use.
 
I have a 12" Delta and am pleased with it. I have a shop vac hooked up to help with the dust. There might be a Jet or Powermatic sale at Woodcraft that could help with the cost. Woodcraft also has the Rikon. Have not tried that brand though.
 
I have the Rikon sold by WC. If I had to do it over again, I would buy something else. The table for the disk is loose and the knob does not tighten sufficiently to keep the table level in either axis. The table is also aluminum; I prefer steel.
 
If you like the sander, why not just replace the bearings? The one you have is probably more solid than most on the market today. If your not in a hurry craigslist is always an option. Good luck!
