Different Spalted Maple

This is a Patriot pen turned from the different spalted maple I posted in the penturning forum. The colors are different not sure about it yet, but is different. Still have enough blanks for about 12 Sierra or patriot styles, going to have to soak some in CA as I turn them though.

Thanks those little pieces of black is some of the spalting but I have never seen spalting like this wood has.
