Diagonal Bocote - a Better Grade

It's Christmas and I thought I'd share some of my best selling wood. I purchased and 8 foot stick from Austin Hardwood and Hardware in Santa Ana, CA (no the usually don't ship). This is NOT the rather plain bocote you can buy for $0.95 at WoodTurningz! It is bold.

I have three sets of five pieces. They are each 0.81" x 0.89" x 5". The whole set is shown in four photographs as the blanks were rotated 90 degrees. Each set (1-3) is $30 plus $9 flat rate shipping. Since it is the holiday season combined with Covid19 who knows when you will get it but you'll get tracking.

We charge an extra $10 per diagonal Bocote pen or razor and folks buy them happily. Your mileage may vary but they sell quickly and are among the first to get a comment or a pick up in the customer's hand.

Just in case my characterization of WoodTurningz low end bocote blanks was unclear. They have regular, less dramatic blanks for sale and they are inexpensively priced. I have about 20 of their blank in stock. I use them to satisfy customers that don't like exotic grain.
