I have a good budget but, I am open to plywood with veneer. I have a dark desk, so I would like something dark, with a glass top - maybe gold 10 pens on top and another 10 in a draw below the top. I am shopping ready-made stuff too.

You need to make your own just like Luke Skywalker making his own light saber. Only then will your training be complete. :)

(Just joking of course.)
 
That one is a very nice display box.
Be careful to remove the pens from the drawer before transporting it! I learned the hard way.
 
PSI also has a 36 pen, 3 level, pen case along the lines of the one referenced by Kelly above. I think it is $100. Good value, IMO.
