Well, much to my dissatisfaction my Delta dp200 drill press chuck is too small for the bigger bits. I have an order for a full sized Gent and a few other larger bodied pens but can't chuck the bits.

Guess I'll need a set of jaws for the lathe faster than I though. I have a chuck for the tail stock that will fit everything fine but no jaws. I'd rather convert to lathe drilling anyway than buy a bigger chuck for the drill press.

Looks like a trip to woodcraft is in order for the weekend :biggrin:
 
Problem solved. Picked up a Nova G3 with 3 jaw set from Woodcraft tonight. The pin jaws work perfect and it's nice not having to mark centers and seeing the hole come out the back the same way it went in the front :)

Never going back to the drill press for a pen blank again.
