Delta 46-700 Motor Died, Need Help!

My lathe motor siezed up last night. Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement motor? The OEM motor if available is $278 which is 2X what I paid for the lathe. If I am going to spend over $300 by the time its delivered I would just rather put it towards a new Grizzly G0462.

Maybe it just needs new bearings? Cheaper than a whole motor or new lathe.

You might want to pull the motor off the lathe to make sure it's the motor, and not the spindle bearings, that have seized.

Check out what it would cost to rebuild the motor. That's usually a lot cheaper

Well it turned out to be the pully jammed up against the motor bracket. So I am back in business.
