Can anyone recommend a decent live center for a 1mt mount?

Is the Penn State any good?

I'm still using the one supplied with my little Wilton lathe when I bought it.

Thanks

Mike

If you are going to be doing items other than pens -- I like both the one way and the NOVA live centers. The Nova comes with a 60 degree insert as a part of the package -- they cost around $60 but have a lot of flexibility and options built into the product.

I think the OneWay is the better of the two, but it is close.

I have had a conversation with JohnnyCNC about an insert for the Nova that will function as a "mandrel saver" - need to have a short MT2 taper with a 0.0248 hole in the center.
