WANTED - old Dayacom or other OLD NIBS you won't use

I am in the process of learning to do custom nib grinding, and have the honor of being taught by one of the best in the business. In about 3 weeks I am going to Nashua to spend a week training with Richard Binder.

So, I have been practicing on the Dayacom nibs that I had left over from making pens for folks and changing those out to better nibs. But, alas, I need more of these "junkers" that we all take off the kit and toss aside when making an upgrade. Then I thought, maybe you guys are doing the same thing and have cups full of these critters

If you have ANY nibs laying around that you are not using and won't use, I would love to have them to practice on. Please send me a contact if you have old nibs and we'll make some arrangements to get them to me!

Thanks guys, I appreciate any help I can get on this!!

Linda :)

LOL Joe, you hang onto those nibs and one day you'll need them :) I did some more today, but I'll feel much better when I get a bit more instruction. I sat with Richard at the DC show for one entire day and a few hours on the other two days. It was fantastic to see him work - the man is genius in motion with a nib! I just don't want to botch up a bunch of good nibs getting this down pat - so I'll keep looking for others :)

Darn, if you had asked me a month ago I had a few hundre but I have found a use for them:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:.

Joe, I reckon you should give them to Linda but make Mikustitusbuttus pay through the nose:wink::biggrin:

LOL Skippy - thanks for the vote of confidence! Mike doesn't need them though - so I doubt he'll be looking to this little stash - although he is my guinea pig for testing how the nibs write once I grind them up and reshape them . . . maybe you all should feel sorry for him???
