Danish oil question.....

I want to do a finish with Danish oil and then put a MinWax clear Poly over the Danish oil. Will this work or will I end up with a sticky mess because the poly wont cure? I will be finishing a piece of Padauk flatwork. If it works on this I think it will look nice on my pens.

An info would be appreciated.

I use that finish on some of the bandsaw boxes I have made.. But you have to wait for the Danish oil to dry before applying the Poly. It could take several days to a week or more depending on the humidity.
