Dairy Cow Blank??

Got someone wanting a pen that looks like a dairy cow. A few things come to mind, but thought I'd see what ya'll thought.

woodcraft has a blank called cowhide. i made a pen for my nephew who is a dairy farmer from one.

I made one from cowhide (Woodcraft)for a farmer not to long ago. When I got it turned down it didn't have to much white left. I have another blank which looks the same way. I didn't look at it close in the store. Just a thought if you can see it in person look at it close.

My kids and I used the "cowhide" I think it came out decent.

A little fat, but that's what they wanted.

If you have a scroll saw and Resin and black and white oil based art paint to color the resin, it would be a simple task. Pour a small slab of black and cut a bunch of patches out of it. Glue them to a white painted tube and cast white resin around it.

Man who'd of thought so many people made Cow pens. I did a few homebrews myself, but they really wanted a spotted blank. So looks like I'll be placing an order with Constant. Thanks everyone for the great info.
