Just made this sketch pencil today from a blank I glued up of flamed maple and cocobolo. It looks great, and I am very pleased with the fit and finish.

That looks great! What company did you get the kit from? I want to make a shop pencil out of my Dad's old sledge handle. It broke off and I want to keep memory out of it. Thought a Shop Pencil would be perfect.

Looks a lot like the PSI kit: https://www.pennstateind.com/store/PKSPCL2BT.html although the nose is a bit different in details.

That's a very good question that I unfortunately don't have the answer to. The first few kits I've done have been donated by the person teaching me. I could ask.
