Here is a button filler fountain pen I made from Mandarin Yellow acrylic, black acrylic and bronze. It has an 18K #6 size nib. All metalwork was hand fabricated.

I noticed that in the fountain pen sub forum, someone had posted a question about button fillers, so I figured I would just post this one here. This was a lot of fun to make, and was based on the ever popular Parker Duofold.

Gorgeous pen Jabert!! I was thinking of using brass rivets used in knife making and modifying them to accept the end of the pressure bar. The have the look and similar dimensions to a brass button it seem. Not sure if it'll work...

That's actually a good solution that I wouldn't have thought of. You will probably have to think up a method for keeping the button from falling out of the back of the pen, like a collar or something around the shaft of the rivet, but other than that, it seems like it should work.

Beautiful pen, John !!!! . Your craftsmanship is superb !!! . Thanks for posting.

I see some fun challenges in my future.
