A beautiful piece of Spanish cedar with curls that rival koa and blackwood!
Ebonite lined, section also ebonite.
Jowo #6 nib
Thanks for looking.
Casey.

What diameter do you make your ebonite liners ?

Thanks Mal, for the cap I drill 13mm and 15 mm holes and make an ebonite plug that slides in, then I drill 10.5 and 13 mm into the enonite and tap it.
For the barrel I drill 14mm, 10.1 mm and 9 mm in steps. Then I turn a piece of ebonite and slip it in, then do the internals into the barrel

As a woodworker who had lived in Hawaii for 40 years, working curly Koa much of that time, I would have called this to be curly Koa if not told otherwise. Does this timber have the same level of chatoyance as Koa? (On a scale of 1 to 10, Koa being '10'.)

Great pen!
