I like using crushed stone for inalys so I came up with a stone crusher. I started working on this back in Aug.
I bought enough steel to make four of them at once.
Still haven't test drove one yet but it should do the job.

It works like a charm-----now I need to set up a sifting screen and I can make my own Crushed stone---I have a good supplier for stone.
I wonder if I can crush something hard like Jade ?????????

Packaged one of theses up--- heading north----it weighs almost 10 lbs. The biggest thing I can think of is make darn sure you are using a solid surface when crushing stone---I stood a log on end ---worked perfect.

Gary, I believe that they were only joking when they told you to go Pound Sand.... God bless American Ingenuity....

:rotfl:

The BIG reason I made mine ----have you ever priced what they sell crushed stone for. I bought some off ebay and you got a tiny baggie with two teaspoons full of stone.
I don't remember how much it was but I knew that was the last time I bought it that way.

Gary,

Did you do the welding? Those are some pretty nice looking beads.

I sometimes envy all the things you do. Lots of variety and all done so well.

Al

Nope ----I pay a guy to do the welding-----welders and wood shops don't mix well.
I own a welder but it's just easier to let someone else do the welding. He charges me $5.00 each to weld these up. I ain't going to get rich selling these.
