Cross refil clicky pen

Has anyone tried making a click pen that uses a cross style refil?

Don't the 7mm slim line clicks use that refill??

The slimline pro click is an 8mm tube based pen that uses a Parker refill. The problem with it, I think, is where the spring has to sit for the click to work. The cross refil has no shoulder like a Parker does
